The Montessori School experience is different from what you’ll find at other area pre-schools. We don’t just prep your child for elementary school. Rather, our goal is to provide them with skills that will help them both educationally and socially.
Children from ages 6 weeks to 6 years are active learners and our curricula take advantage of these sensitive years to give students an enriched, fun education. We utilize developmentally appropriate materials to help children learn at their own pace. Each of our classrooms is a mix of ages and genders. The children help and learn from each other!
A child who acquires the basic skills of reading and arithmetic in this natural way has the advantage of beginning their education without drudgery, boredom or discouragement. By pursuing their individual interests in a Montessori classroom, a student gains an early enthusiasm for learning, which is the key to becoming a truly educated person.
The Keene Montessori School pre-school and toddler programs begin at 9:00am and end at 12:00pm. Our afternoon arts program starts after lunch and runs until 3pm. Childcare is available before school from 7:30am to 9:00am and after school from 3pm to 5:30pm.
The School is a licensed childcare provider and is registered as a provider with the NH Department of Family Services. For additional information on this and other financial options please contact us.
